A Simple Two-Day Itinerary for Jibhi

How to spend two unhurried days in Jibhi, from Jibhi Waterfall and Mini Thailand to Jalori Pass, Serolsar Lake or the Raghupur Fort trek, with tips from your host.

Jibhi is a quiet village in Himachal Pradesh's Banjar Valley, known for forested hills, traditional wooden homes, waterfalls and a slower pace of life. Two days is enough to see the highlights without rushing. This is the plan we most often suggest to guests at Jibhi Emberwood.

Before you go

Most travellers take a bus from Delhi to Aut. From Aut, a taxi or local bus brings you to Jibhi in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Our how to reach Jibhi guide covers the route step by step.

Check-in at Jibhi Emberwood is from 1:00 pm, so an overnight bus that reaches Aut in the morning leaves you time for a relaxed first afternoon.

Day one: Jibhi Waterfall, Mini Thailand and the cafés

Start with Jibhi Waterfall, an easy walk through forest to water tumbling over moss-covered rock and ferns. Wear shoes with good grip, as paths can be slippery after rain.

Pair it with Mini Thailand, a natural rock arch that frames a green river pool surrounded by ferns and forest.

Spend the afternoon in the cafés of Jibhi. They are small and made for slow afternoons. Ask your host which ones are open and which they enjoy.

In the evening, a bonfire can be arranged at Jibhi Emberwood on request. It is charged separately and depends on the weather.

Day two: Jalori Pass, then choose your pace

Head to Jalori Pass, a mountain pass that guests visit as a day trip from Jibhi. Check road and weather conditions locally before you go.

Then pick one, depending on how you feel:

  • Serolsar Lake: a green mountain lake ringed by pine forest, with a small temple on the hillside above it. The gentler choice.
  • Raghupur Fort: a trek up to a ridge with views of a snow-capped Himalayan range. Choose this for a more active day.

Practical tips

  • Every season has its own mood, from green summers to cold, quiet winters. Ask us about current conditions before you travel.
  • Trail conditions change with the season and the weather, so check locally before setting out.
  • Check-out is at 10:30 am on your departure day, so plan your onward bus from Aut around it.

Not sure where to begin? Message your hosts on WhatsApp and we will tailor this plan to your pace, your group and the season.
